You Nickz.

They're big, they're ancient, and they breathe alien technology. I love how they look like middle ages and still have features that other systems can't even dare dreaming of. And they'll probably have those features already for at least a decade or so, too.

At this moment I have three unixes to play with - one HPUX, two IRIX. The final goal is to get a working machine for every 'original' unix there is... long way to go! Still on the list are a nice dual cpu Sparc and a POWER - I'd love POWER4... but I guess I'd better not put my hopes on that, poor wallet... I recently got two Alphas for free, so once I have the time and means I'll be playing with Tru64 and OpenVMS too! Rawr.

It's not a cheap hobby - and boy, is it an addictive one. The machines themselves are nothing too expensive, but then you see that nice extra RAM kit on eBay - who doesn't need more ram? I sure do! - and then you notice that Über schweet gfx board that would be such a nice replacement for the rather feeble one you have - oh, and a faster DUAL CPU module!

...before you realize you're hooked, you've got 200kgs of unix iron stacked in your room. Now, *I* don't find that a bad thing... but I did warn you ;-)
