Yar! Just made it under one year since the last post. lots of stuff has happened...
I'm an IBM Certified System Z Technical Professional by now.
Most fun and most useless certificate ever.
Still, I *adore* mainframes. Too bad it's virtually impossible to get one at home,
else I could add a /mainframe tab on top... ;-)
I'm a Novell Certified Linux Professional too. Second most useless certificate ever.
We (the girly and I) are getting married! So, if you have anything to say before I resign myself
to the eternal shackles of wedlock... hurry up :-P
We got us a horsey! She's painted like a cow, acts like one, adores carrots and freaking out
on the grass, and is generally adorable. More to follow later.
I finally managed to finish university. It took me a while, but hey... don't give a damn.

Back in my comfy chair at work, after one week of IBM Technical Conference. Next week, I'll be getting System Z certified. Mainframes... wooo.

Zorro died tonight. Sniff...

Webmail is up and running! IMAP + RoundCube Webmail = Sexiness. I still can't believe I waited so long to do it.

The Deathrow cluster is back up again. A nasty hardware failure took down the node where my files were located, but with a lot of hard work the Deathrow people managed to bring the cluster back without the dead node, and even salvaged most of my stuff :-) kudos to Beave, yelrub, brianmc and the others!
It's possible however that some files are still an older (backup) version. I haven't checked them all - if you'd notice something that needs updated, just give a yell and I'll pull it back up to date.

The tardist howto is almost finished. It survived cross-examination by the experts, so... just start packaging!

Now, that lasted long. Grin.

Looks like the company finally realized that allowing outgoing SSH is virtually the same as giving the unix kids in the workforce full access to whatever they want to do. No more SSH tunneling from now on... or not? Who knows, there's still an open HTTP proxy... ;-)
In the meantime: working on the website a bit. Perhaps not a bad thing - this website has been on hold for way too long.
