Inserts the contents of a file into a buffer.

    Format

      READ   file-spec

1 - Qualifier

 1.1 - /BUFFER

       /BUFFER=buffer-name

    Specifies a buffer into which the file is to be read. If the
    buffer does not exist, it is created for display only (the buffer
    cannot be written back to a file).

2 - Parameter

 file-spec
    Specifies the file to be read. LSE uses the list for the current
    SET SOURCE_DIRECTORY command to resolve the file specification.

    LSE uses VAX DEC/CMS to access a file if the directory for the
    file to be accessed is the same as the current CMS library.
